Mac OpenTransport/PPP Configuration Instructions

 1) Click on the Apple menu, go to [Control Panels], and select [PPP].

 2) Select [Registered User].

 3) In the field labeled [Name:], enter your Totalusa account name.

 4) In the field labeled [Password:], enter your Totalusa password.

*NOTE: If you do not wish to enter your password every time you connect, check the [Save password] box.

 5) In the [Number:] field, enter your local Totalusa access number here. (e.g., 774-0110 for Logan)

 6) Click on [Options].

 7) Select the [Redialing] tab.

 8) Select [Redial main number only].

 9) Enter "100" in [Redial ___ times.].

10) In the field next to [Time between retries:], enter "5".

11) Select the [Connection] tab.

12) Check [Use verbose logging].

*NOTE: The rest of the options on this tab are for your own personal preference. If you're unsure, uncheck them all.

13) Select the [Protocol] tab.

14) Beside [Use protocol:], select [PPP] from the menu.

15) Uncheck all options ACCEPT [Allow error correction and compression in modem.].

16) Click on [OK].
